My mom has been at Anita's Gardens for over a year, and I can’t say enough good things. The staff truly care about the residents — they greet her by name, keep her engaged, and make sure she feels at home. The community is always clean and well-maintained, and the activities are wonderful. What a unique and impressive experience it was to tour Anita's Gardens in Brookfield! The building itself is stunning. Its high ceilings and very large windows open up every room.  The views are calming with inviting greenery out every window, and the residents enjoyed watching birdfeeders that were visited by a variety of lovely birds. One resident proudly showed me her room,  encouraging me to look at her woods right outside her window. Her smile was just one of many I witnessed on my tour. I have never visited a more uplifting memory care community. Staff and residents exchanged conversation as if they were old friends.  The residents were comfortable and exuded happiness. As an industry professional, I was truly surprised at all of the conversation happening in the dining room among the residents. Oftentimes in memory care, a dining room feels empty even when filled with residents. This community has a heavy focus on dementia training, and it is evident that seasoned trainer Sherrie excels in her role. The entire team engaged with residents in a gentle,  loving manner. My Mom was formerly living alone in her home and has now been living at Anita’s  Brookfield for almost a month. We never thought we could convince her to move but the staff there were so kind and supportive and made great suggestions that worked like a charm. Mom is involved in the activities (we didn’t think it was possible) and has come out of her shell quite amazingly.
